VF-Racing Impreza Wins at Castle Combe!

Yet another awesome result for the Japspeed-sponsored VF-Racing Impreza last weekend! Vaughan Fletcher returned to the Nippon Challenge on Bank Holiday Monday and showed everyone the dominance that led him to victory in the 2010 series. Castle Combe was the location for rounds 5 & 6 of the 2011 Nippon Challenge, and as a firm favourite circuit for Fletcher it made the ideal place to make an appearance in this year’s series.

In atrocious conditions the driver from Chesterfield secured pole position and led both races from lights to flag. With heavy rain falling throughout race 1, the current class leader in the BARC’s “Classic Thunder Championship” drove accordingly and pulled out enough of a lead to secure 1st place without having to risk any possible incidents.

With a drying circuit for race two, and a switch to an intermediate tyre, the Impreza and driver pushed on with an increased pace and lapped up to 7th place and extend a lead over the 2nd place driver of nearly 40 seconds.

An excellent result in challenging conditions showed our driver is capable of wins whatever the weather!

Our next race is at Mallory Park over the weekend of 18th/19th June
