Team Japspeed Unveils Rebuilt Subaru After 15 tears at TRAX Silverstone
We were proud to unveil our freshly rebuilt Subaru at Trax 2025, making its dramatic return to the spotlight in front of a massive crowd. The reveal was made even more special by none other than Team Japspeed driver and Boyzone legend Shane Lynch who’ll be getting behind the wheel of the Subaru later this year.
Under the Bonnet: LS9 V8 Power
The biggest change? That monster under the bonnet. Gone is the 2JZ, (And Rotary after a very brief spell under the bonnet), in its place sits a supercharged LS9 V8. Thanks to some serious tuning work, this engine is now pushing towards 1000bhp. That’s right… four figures of raw, American muscle, rebuilt and reimagined for drift domination.
The man behind this brutal transformation? Huge credit goes to Japspeed driver, engineer & fabricator Anthony Thompson, whose time, dedication and expertise brought this ambitious project to life.
