We Take the LS9 Subaru to Teesside

The countdown to Classic Japfest at Goodwood is officially on and Team Japspeed are fired up more than ever. Last week we made the trip north to Teesside to put some crucial test miles on our freshly rebuilt Subaru to fine tune the setup ahead of the big event. This wasn’t just a shakedown, it was the cars first meaningful track outing for over a decade so we wanted to get everything dialled in perfectly. The man behind the wheel? None other than Japspeed and Boyzone legend Shane Lynch making a long awaited return to the team, who wasted no time getting to grips withhis new machine.

All about Seat Time

Shane’s session was all about seat time. Getting comfortable, pushing the limits and working with the crew trackside to ensure the Subaru was as responsive and predictable as possible. From suspension tweaks and alignment changes, the team worked throughout the day so the car is absolutely ready to put on a show next month.

What a car the newly re-built Subaru is turning out to be, the thunderous, supercharged LS9 V8 delivers relentless power. paired with Teesside’s technical layout it made for an exhilarating day of testing. We left the circuit with a car that’s sharper, faster and more confidence inspiring. Now, with Teeside on the books, all eyes are on Classic Japfest on the 4th and 5th October. Expect smoke, noise and signature Japspeed style when Shane and the Subaru hit the tarmac down at Goodwood.
