TEAM JAPSPEED & LUKE WOODHAM

It would be fair to say there are a few big changes happening in the Team Japspeed camp this year. With new builds and most recently ex Team Lock Stop driver Matt Carter joining the team; but the changes don’t stop there.

Team Japspeed are excited to announce their support for Luke Woodham as a Japspeed-sponsored driver in 2016. Without a shadow of a doubt there are few drivers within the UK drift scene as committed to the sport as Luke and it would be fair to say few can claim the same level of success he has so far achieved.

When we first met Luke he had recently arrived on the UK drift scene competing in the British Drift Championship at the grassroots level. Fans and competitors soon recognised Luke’s talent who claimed 3rd place overall…an outstanding performance for his first year in competitive drifting!

In a matter of only 3 short years he quickly fought off the competition and battled his way to the top classes; competing alongside some of the best drifters the UK has to offer.

Since the early days of his career, Luke has continued in an ever upward spiral claiming a number of accolades along the way; including a number of podium places in the ever popular Fueltopia BarrelSprint series.

Not only has Luke become hugely successful in the UK but his career has taken him across the continent with not one but two European Gymkhana Grid Championship titles to his name.

Luke is no stranger to Team Japspeed and has previously drifted alongside us for the British Drift Championship Team Triple Drift Event 2013 as well as taking the wheel of our JZ-powered Lexus IS200 at a number of demonstration events up and down the country.

We would like to take this opportunity to welcome Luke Woodham to Team Japspeed and we look forward to seeing his performance over the 2016 season.
