Team Japspeed’s man-on-form, Shane O’Sullivan continued his non-stop drifting schedule as he returned to Ireland to compete in Prodrift. Shane has been forging a double-attack on both the Maxxis British Drift Championship and Prodrift in Ireland, in a quest for personal glory and to proudly represent his sponsors, in two of the highest profile drift championships in Europe. It’s a gruelling schedule for Shane to keep on top of, but he isn’t showing any signs of tiring yet!

Having dominated the Maxxis British Drift Championship with recent performances, including lifting the 1st place at Round 3 at Teesside Autodrome and the coveted 1st place in the Team Triple Drift Event, you’d think that would be more than enough success? Not for Shane! He’s in the running for end of season honours in both the Maxxis British Drift Championship and Prodift. With this in mind, he quickly raced back to Ireland with his Team Japspeed prepared Nissan S15 to compete at Round 3 of Prodrift at Fermoy Cork Mats.

While the tiring double-season maybe tough to keep up with, it’s proving worthwhile as Shane battled hard to cut through the pack at Fermoy. As the opponents fell by the wayside he worked his way up until he found himself embroiled in a battle with James Deane for 3rd and 4th place. By the tightest of margins Shane missed out on a podium but claiming 4th place still granted more vital championship points. It was vindication for two hard weeks on the road. It leaves O’Sullivan in 3rd place in the Prodrift standings, with just three points separating the top three drivers! So there’s everything to play for still and in the Maxxis British Drift Championship he is sitting at the top of the table, trying to protect a nine point gap!

Shane’s hoping to increase the gap on his rivals at Round 4 of the Maxxis British Drift Championship held at Lydden Hill on the 11th and 12th of August.
