When Rallycross Star Liam Doran got a taste for drifting, Team Japspeed decided it’d be a good idea to get him behind the wheel of a BDC-ready car to try his skills at the Silverstone licensing day. Liam’s one of Britain’s best Rallycross drivers and even finished third in this year’s European Championship, and he’s no stranger to drifting turbocharged motors!

Behind the wheel of Japspeed’s S14, Liam instantly got to grips pulling out a superb first practice run. Unfortunately on the three judged qualifying runs two big errors cost him from scoring well and taking the license, but his last run was absolute quality producing plenty of speed and angle – a cracking start for the 23-year-old!

We’d love to see Liam back at the next licensing day to try again as he’s definitely got the attitude and skill to really shake up the BDC season! Oh and if you ever get bored of your Rallycross car, we’d happily drive it for you.
