SEO Specialist

Japspeed has an opportunity available for an experienced SEO specialist to join the team based in Manchester. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis working 8:30am – 5:30pm, and in return you will receive a competitive salary depending on experience.

Established in 2004, Japspeed supply top quality performance parts to Japanese car enthusiasts the world over. Our Manchester HQ is home to 20,000sq/ft. of performance products and sales offices as well as our workshop and world-famous drift team; Team Japspeed.

We are now looking for and experienced SEO Specialist to join our growing team at Japspeed HQ!

What are the responsibilities of the SEO Specialist?

  • Identify strategies and tactics to increase the number of visitors to our website(s)
  • Ensure a high ranking placement in SERP for all keywords relevant to our business
  • Author original content, tailored for our target audience across all pages of our website(s)
  • Regularly check search terms, rankings and analytics to monitor the website(s) performance in order to make recommendations for improvements
  • Employ UX and conversion rate optimisation methods to improve website performance and sales
  • Develop and integrate content marketing strategies including social media
  • Monitor changes in the SEO industry in order to keep up-to-date with the latest methods and techniques

What skills do I need to have to become our SEO Specialist?

  • A genuine interest in SEO or digital marketing
  • Experience with Google and/or Bing services including Analytics and Webmaster tools
  • Experience with Google’s Keyword tools
  • A functional understanding of HTML and CSS
  • Confidence working with back-end SEO elements of an ecommerce website(s)
  • Able to deploy an effective local and/or long-tail search strategy
  • A solid understanding of how blogging, press-releases, social media and related strategies work in conjunction with SEO
  • Experience in building inbound organic search traffic and improving SERPs
  • Able to create reports showing web analytics data and perform site evaluations
  • A commitment to keeping your technical skills and knowledge up-to-date
  • Excellent communication skills to inform educate and mediate across a number of stakeholders in an organisation
  • Previous experience of Magento version 2 (a distinct advantage)
  • Passion for all things automotive / desire to work with other motorsport enthusiasts (a bonus but by no means required)

We are now looking for a Graduate Web Developer to join our growing team at Japspeed HQ!

What are the responsibilities of the Graduate Web Developer?

  • Consistent development of website layout/user interface, adhering to industry standard practices
  • Maintaining, expanding and scaling of our brand website
  • Presenting designs and key milestone deliverables to senior management
  • Establishing and promotion of design guidelines, best practice and standards
  • Ensuring our web presence is optimised for mobile devices across all platforms
  • The complete SEO process for all our products

What skills do I need to have to become our Graduate Web Developer?

  • Have recently graduated from a web development related degree
  • Ability to demonstrate experience in web design/development, backed up by your portfolio
  • Possess an in-depth knowledge of HTML, CSS and PHP
  • Confident code writer, ensuring all content is optimised for both desktop and mobile access
  • Have hands-on experience with the SEO process (a distinct advantage)
  • Creative and an effective problem solver
  • Strong organisational skills and be able to manage multiple tasks within deadline
  • Possess the initiative to learn and quickly master new e-commerce web technologies and techniques
  • Proficient with Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator (a benefit but not essential)
  • Previous experience of Magento version 2 (a distinct advantage)
  • Passion for all things automotive / want to work with other motorsport enthusiasts (a bonus but by no means required)
