New Drift Suits For Team Japspeed

You may recall that we have recently been hinting about our new up and coming race suits from Axcel Sports. Well no more teasing, they are here in time for Round 3 of the Maxxis British Drift Championship, and we just want to show the world!

These custom suits from Axcel Sports will ensure that the Team stands out in the pits, but above all else will be safe in the drift cars should the worst happen and saftey has to be the top priority in any form of Motorsport. It’s of paramount importance within drifting, a sport which encourages drivers to be on-the-edge and beyond, needs to have stern saftey parametres and these suits meet those needs.

Manufactured by top motorsport apprel supplier Axcel Sports, these cutting-edge suits meet the FIA 8856-200 standard requirements, and are made from fireproof Nomex textile with full inner fireproof fleece linings to keep the drivers both cool and comfortable when in use.

To further aid comfort the suits have 360 degree underarm movement, lower rear gusset back for easy flexibilty and expansion of the suit when sitting in the driving position. They also come with boot cut legs, a feature that started over in the States but is growing in popularity with European drivers. These cutting edge suits have been tailored to each driver and give a strong uniformed look.

The Team just couldn’t wait to try them on, they will all be wearing them for the first time at Round 3 of the Maxxis British Drift Championship. To complete the look and further enhance saftey and give essential grip on the pedals and steering wheel, the Team will be also wearing Axcel Sports race boots and gloves.
