VF-Racing Pre – Season Test – Cadwell Park – 6th March 2011
Vaughan Fletcher returned to his spiritual home of Cadwell Park on the 6th March to test out the changes the car has undertaken during the winter months. With a fresh engine from “ScoobyClinic” & “Supertech”, suspension upgrades from “JapSpeed” and the addition of the wider track courtesy of the 18” “Revolution” Millennium 2 wheels, we were basically testing a new car.
During the 2010 season, Fletcher and his Subaru dominated the Nippon Challenge, and the aim is to repeat this again in 2011.
With the first race a little under 3 weeks away in the BARC’s “Classic Thunder” series at Oulton Park in Cheshire, it was important to put some miles on the clock and see what difference’s the changes had made. A combination of a reliable and sorted car, coupled with a determined and skillful driver produced some fantastic lap times, and hinted at the cars full potential.
