Oil temperature within the differential can become an issue when the diff is placed under high loads for any sustained period of time such as when drifting, drag, racing or track driving.
Overheated oil loses its ability to lubricate and protect and this can lead to damage or even the failure of delicate components like bearings, spider gears or your expensive LSD unit.
This high performance diff backplate offers an extra 40% oil capacity and is finned to provide a dramatic increase in cooling.
