Last week we introduced you to our 2011/2012 project, a Nissan 200sx S14a. The plan with this car was to take it from standard to BDC-ready in just two days, and where we left Part 1 it was beginning to take shape after a solid day's work. For Part 2 it was time to make the S14a look pretty, finish off the all-important paint job and fit/setup the remaining body parts ready for Trax just a few days later.

Over the bank holiday weekend Team Japspeed hooked up with Maxxis Tyres for the annual UK Modified Nationals show at the East of England Showground, Peterborough. For those who've never been; Modified Nationals is one of the biggest events in the calendar with over 100 car clubs attending and thousands upon thousands of modded motors on display!

With the British Drift Championship well underway its essential each drift car is kept in perfect running condition...unfortunately Team Japspeed love nothing more than putting on a quality show for punters, so there's literally no weekends off for us! On Sunday 5th June we'll be heading over to Rockingham Motor Speedway for the French Car Show - not our usual venue, but with limited RWD French cars and Japspeed simply one of the best team drifters in the UK, we simply couldn't say no.

What a day! Scorching heat, last-minute setting up, lack of sleep (although Monster Energy seems to be doing the trick…) but despite all the chaos Team Japspeed still managed to take home first and second place of the BDC Pro with Danny Eyle’s taking the win and Shane Lynch bringing home second in the twin-turbo V8 he’d driven just once before. …and pretty damn well, too! After gearbox problems @ Round 1 Team Japspeed’s Impreza driven by Steve ‘Baggsy’ Biagioni is back with an STI 6-speed box hopefully strong enough to deal with the abuse expected @ Round 2 this weekend.

Japspeeds Shane Lynch and Trampdrifter Mike Gaynor made the BDC Round 2 Final at Llandow a battle to remember. The pressure was on as both drivers were on top form. Shane lost out to Mike in the end but the championship has only just started to heat up.
